One Of My Most Fun-nest Weekends

So lets recap on what’s happened over the weekend up until this point in time. Honestly…it feels like my feet haven’t even touched the ground and it’s less than two weeks into the New Year. It’s like I haven’t been home for the previous 3 or 4 days and it’s felt pretty good. I’ve enjoyed the fact that I’m not at home however it does cost a bit more not to be at home but it’s a small price to pay.

- Friday Night
As planned…I went out to meet a few friends to catch up on old times. Met a few new people and I even met a nice girl whose warped and twisted sense of humour was matched by my very own. We made fun of people, referenced quotes from “White Chicks” and in some instances, just a look at each other was enough for us to start laughing. It was good to meet a girl with the same maturity level as me.

I had a great time and called an early night. Finished up at about 23:45 so I managed to get some decent sleep and catch up on sleep I had lost from the previous week.

- Saturday Day
Thinking I could sleep in, my cousin messaged me asking for me to ‘save her’ once again. She had a few errands that needed to be done and wanted me to come along for the ride. So I did…it was better than being stuck at home.

We went out to the markets to kill time while she was waiting for her boyfriend. I’m glad I went. I found a Spiderman attachment for the mobile phone. I was ecstatic. Not only is it Spiderman…but it’s Spiderman AND it flashes.

Whist out at the market I did see a woman whose legs were the same thickness all the way to her ankles. She was wearing sandals and her feet looked like a ham that was tied up with string. It was very wrong but I’m sure...deep down, she’s a very nice person. VERY deep down…somewhere.

- Saturday Night
Saturday night didn’t really start till almost Sunday morning but what a night it was. I got picked up by my PartyGirls and met one of their sisters. Bugger any scientific research…partying is hereditary. The first club we went to…I was very impressed with the live band. A female lead singer covering Green Day, I never knew it could sound so good. The fact that she looked hot had nothing to do with it. I was very impressed but after awhile there’s only so much vomit on a dance floor you can avoid without stepping into it so we decided to leave.

The next club we went to was around the corner and were playing club remixes of Linkin Park. I thought it was absolutely brilliant…up until the point people started fighting for who-knows-what-ever reason. So it was then we decided to leave (again). The PartyGirls wanted to meet up with friends at that club that caters to certain members of society so I went along with them.

As it turns out…you don’t have to be completely wasted to enjoy the place (although it does help). I (again) met with one of the girls that I had randomly taken a photo of on that fateful Friday night but this time I was relatively sober and we’ve since spoken to each other regarding the differences and similarities between the various clubs and their clientele.

This club
  1. plays music I like: dance / trance / club music
  2. does not generate aggression. I don’t know how and I don’t know why but in any other club…if I had taken random photos…either myself or my beautiful camera (or both) would have tried to have been smashed. Note the emphasis on the word 'tried'.
  3. the people that attend regularly start forming a mini-community. This, I have to admit is very true and didn’t realise it until I went there and recognised the very people I had previously taken pictures of.
I’m glad I went back there though. Met some real characters.

- Sunday Day
Pretty much all of Sunday was spent with The Crew. From about 1200 onwards we were involved in a training session (of sorts). Spent some time planning and organising a few things (as I do) and I spent some time making one-liner-smart-ass remarks (as I do).

Then went out to the beach with my crew and had dinner at one of the restaurants by the sea. This night was complete randomness at it’s best. Building towers out of drink bottles and sauce packets (in the middle of the restaurant), making fun of random people, mixing all the leftovers into a single cup and leaving it for the workers to clean up. Ahhh..good times.

To top it all off, some retarded old person thought we were tourists because we were taking photos of each other. I think he was retarded because he was talking so slow but maybe it was because he thought none of us knew how to speak English good. We is getting better-er.

-Today
Me being the extremely shallow person I am, went out to buy a few ‘essentials’. These essentials were basically things that I didn’t’ need but I felt I had to have because of the simple fact that they contributed towards my appearance. I spent a total off $45.00 on various essential cosmetic products. Products such as hair gel, a new toothbrush and few other products.

Additionally, I also bought the essential: X-Men Legends on PS2. Damn you post New Year’s sales. Damn you credit card spending and damn you most of all: attractive sales girl.

There were so many other things I wanted to buy. So many Spiderman products…so little finances. Damn you attractive youth marketing.

I went out today without my camera too. I felt naked without it. I’ve become so attached to it. I love it so much.

*sigh*

Is it wrong to love a piece of technology? I’m going to have to make a confession here.

I’m a techno-phile. I love my technology and I know that technology loves me.
