No More Sorrow. I’ve Paid For Your Mistakes. Your Time Is Borrowed. Your Time Has Come To Be Replaced

So what’s been happening in Devil’s busy world? Well…he hasn’t been dissecting and/or masturbating animals that’s for sure. If you wanted to read about things like that though…you should try this blog here.

I’ve consciously allocated myself some time to read and I’ve gotten back into the whole “reading” groove with “White Tiger” by Kylie Chan. This is the book that I bought from the bookstore attendant that I thought deluded myself into thinking, was interested in me. I’m only three chapters into the book and it seems pretty good so far.

I came across a line in the book that caught my attention:
“Demons couldn’t stand to see their own reflection.”
I often wondered why I hated looking at myself in the mirror. I guess maybe I’ll finally find out as the book progresses.

On Wednesday, I had my first meeting with the three students that I’ve got working on my special project. I’d like to think that everything went smoothly except the expectations of the students far exceeded anything practical (as the ideals of students so very often are).

After explaining to them what exactly was involved in my project…I think I’m going to have a lot of loose ends that I’ll have to tie up at the end of the project…but I guess that’s my responsibility since I’m the one coordinating it all.

During my (limited) spare time I’ve also been working a bit with my photos. I’ve been working on Eddie’s birthday present which is a photo of her, Patsy and myself out at a club somewhere having a good time. Eddie is extremely self-conscious so I’ve spent the last few nights touching up / cleaning up the image (so that it doesn’t actually look like it’s been touched up). I’ve also been filtering through my photos for some suitable submissions for a national rock climbing magazine that I’m hoping will be accepted.

I’m not much of a photographer but there are a couple of shots that I think MIGHT have a chance at featuring in the magazine. The last time I called up the editor, he seemed to be friendly and very forthcoming with information (but that’s what happens when you can instantly network and build rapport like I can). I need to call him up again and get a few more details regarding technical details. If it all goes well…I’ll have a submission accepted in time for the mid-year issue.

On top of all of that, I’ve also printed off another Devilwear T-shirt. I’ve screen printed my “Team Player” t-shirt that has baseball type silhouettes and the words: “I’m a team player. I’ll bat for any team!”

The print of the silhouettes didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted it to be but that’s because I wasn’t consistent in the application of the paint…but it’s all good. I’ve learnt from that and I’m now working on my next little project (which will involve a bulls-eye target of some kind).

In recent days I’ve also been in negotiations with the fitness institution that I’ve been looking at to provide me with the Certificate III in Fitness.

From the research that I’ve conducted, the units that the course consists of are identical to some of the units that I’ve completed as part of my Diploma of Business (see…I knew finishing that qualification would come in handy!)…except the way that the fitness course is structured, they “cluster” the units together and you can’t get exemptions from individual units…only clusters.

After further negotiations with the institute (and research into the course) they’ve agreed to give me an exemption which will save me a total of $33…provided that I can show them a portfolio of work to substantiate the exemption. I know that I’m all “pro-saving” but in this case, I think the time that I’d spend on getting a portfolio together would far outweigh the saving that I’d make.

So at this point in time, I’m almost certain to enrol for the next course they have available (which starts in May). This effectively gives me about a month and half to get some funds together because they require payment before the course actually starts.

Oh, and I’m going to buy some Glow-Poi too. I’m going to learn how to spin these suckers (without hitting myself in the nuts) so that I’ll have something to do at the next rave. It’s going to cost me $45 all up but I think the coolness factor definitely outweighs the initial purchase costs. Meanwhile…the cost of hitting myself in the nuts is priceless. Especially if I get it on video and send it in to Australia’s Funniest Home Video Show.

As a side note, what the hell is with the new host?! Major ew.

Anyway, I’m totally looking forward to this weekend too. This weekend, like almost every other weekend, I’ve got some social plans which is what happens when you’re involved in so many things and are as popular as I am.

So…what’s the plan for this weekend?

On Saturday, I’m pretty much spending all day with The Stuntman filming more of his martial arts movie. After that, I’ve got a show to put on with The Crew THEN…I’ve got The Belayer’s 21st birthday party to go to. He’s already talked to me about his party and he’s asked me to look after him because he knows people are going to get him heavily intoxicated…and he’s asked me to watch out for him.

He’s asked me to be his invisible ninja for the night…and I’ve agreed to.

It should be an interesting weekend.

Anyway…I’m off to gymnastics now. Jailbait should be there tonight.
